Bloggers Rocky Bru  mengemukakan catatan berikut :

A RACE LOST. Nearly nobody had anything good to say about the 8 Malays who lost in the race to be elected leaders of DAP, a predominantly, traditionally and spiritually Chinese-based party.  I don't have any good word for any of the 8, either.  Of course, I don't like to think that they lost because they are Melayus but because they are not good enough as well. In other words, if they were to contest in Malay-based parties such as Umno, PAS, PKR or even KITA, I don't think they would do any better.

Could the Lims and the other DAP leaders done more to get the members of the party to vote for a Malay or two for the 2013-15 line-up? They could have. And they should have. After all the hype about not being racist or race-based, the DAP failed to take the chance to prove that they really are multiracial and multi religious. The Malays in DAP have lost face and lost yet another battle to turn the party into a movement where they could compete based on merits. But to me the DAP is the bigger loser: it lost a big opportunity to walk that big talk ...

I don't think there will be another one.

Excerpts from the Unspinners:

Tahukah mereka tinggi rendah?

Pengerusi: Karpal Singh
Timbalan Pengerusi: Tan Kok Wai
Naib-naib Pengerusi: 1. Chow Kon Yeow 2. M. Kulasegaran 3. Chong Chien Jien 4. Teresa Kok 5. Dr. Ariffin Omar
Setiausaha Agung: Lim Guan Eng
Timbalan Setiausaha Agung:
1. Chong Eng 2. Ngeh Koo Ham 3. Dr. P. Ramasamy
Bendahari Kebangsaan: Fong Kui Lun
Timbalan Bendahari Kebangsaan: Nga Kor Ming
Setiausaha Organisasi: Anthony Loke Siew Foke
Timbalan Setiausaha Organisasi: 1. Vincent Wu 2. Thomas Su
Setiausaha Publisiti: Tony Pua Kiam Wee
Timbalan Setiausaha Publisiti: 1. Teo Nie Ching 2. Zairil Khir Johari
Setiausaha Antarabangsa: V. Sivakumar
Pengarah Biro Pendidikan Politik: Liew Chin Tong
Timbalan Pengarah Biro Pendidikan Politik: Dr. Boo Cheng Hau
Biro Pakatan Rakyat: 1. Teng Chang Khim (Pengerusi) 2. Vincent Wu 3. Anthony Loke Siew Foke 4. Teresa Kok 5. Liew Chin Tong 6. Gobind Singh Deo 7.  Tony Pua Kiam Wee
Penasihat Seumur Hidup: Dr. Chen Man Hin
Biro Disiplin: 1. Tan Kok Wai (Pengerusi) 2. M. Kulasegaran 3. Lim Hock Seng 4. Dr. Tan Seng Giaw 5. Dr. P. Ramasamy
Biro Undang-undang: Gobind Singh Deo
Biro Buruh: Sivanesan
Biro Budaya: P. Gunasekaran

Kronisma Lim Guan Eng nampak begitu jelas kelihatan.

Results are out. DAP delegates voted their Central Executive Committee members for 2012-5 term. Party longest serving elected representative, Emperor-for-life Lim Kit Siang took top spot and his son, who is Secretary General and autocratic Chief Minister of Penang took second place. Party Chairman Karpal Singh, another DAP living fossil, took third spot.

Kit Siang, Guan Eng, Karpal take top spots in DAP polls

GEORGE TOWN: It was a family affair as DAP adviser and Ipoh Timur MP Lim Kit Siang and his son, party secretary general and Penang ChiefMinister Lim Guan Eng, took the top two slots at the central executive committee (CEC) elections held here on Saturday.
Kit Siang garnered the most votes from the delegates – 1,607 while Guan Eng received 1,576 votes.
Party chairman Karpal Singh‘s strong stance on issues held him in good stead as he emerged with the third most votes – 1,411.
In the elections in 2008, Karpal only received 471 votes placing him in ninth spot.
The others selected into the 20-member CEC are Chong Chieng Jen, Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Vincent Wu Him Ven, Tan Kok Wai, Gobind Singh Deo, Tony Pua, Teng Chang Khim, Fong Kui Lun, Nga Kor Ming, Chong Eng, Chow Kon Yeow, Liew Chin Tong, M Kulasegaran, Boo Cheng Hau, Teresa Kok, Teo Nie Ching and Ngeh Koo Ham.
****************
These are the results of the those who were voted in today.
LIM KIT SIANG -1607
LIM GUAN ENG -1576
KARPAL SINGH – 1411
CHONG CHIENG JEN- 1211
LOKE SIEW FOOK (ANTHONY) -1202
WU HIM VEN (VINCENT) – 1202
TAN KOK WAI -1199
GOBIND SINGH DEO – 1197
PUA KIAM WEE (TONY)- 1162
TENG CHANG KHIM- 1152
FONG KUI LUN- 1137
NGA KOR MING -1075
CHONG ENG- 1006
CHOW KON YEOW- 986
LIEW CHIN TONG- 984
M. KULA- 984
BOO CHENG HAU- 958
KOK SUH SIM (TERESA) -925
TEO NIE CHING -903
NGEH KOO HAM – 824
The result is not in tandem on DAP Chairman Karpal’s call for new talents to be voted into the CEC. His call for one-candidate, one-seat also is not reflective in the result as seven double-seats YBs are voted in.
There are several interesting facts about this result.
1. The family dynasties are still the power-players and main central controlling figures in the party; Two Father-Son (Kit Siang-Guan Eng / Karpal-Gobind) and cousins (Ngeh-Nga)
2. Lim Guan Eng’s favourites and proxies Prof P Ramasamy , Ng Wei Aik, Zairil Khir Johari and Khoo Poay Tiong lost. Ng and Zairil are Lim’s Political Secretaries
3. 80% of the new CEC members are actually previous term CEC members
4. 8 of previousCEC members lost
5. Out of the seven Malay candidates (plus Zairil Khir Johari, if he is truly Malay), did not win
6. Three Indian ethnic are voted in. Two of them are Punjabs and father-son relationship
7. Seven (35%) out the CEC members elected are double-seat elected representatives
8. The party constitution limits the Secretary General for only three terms. Hence, this is Lim Guan Eng’s last term. Unless by the next party elections, they amend the constitution
9. No representation from Melaka, Pahang, Sabah and Kedah. Only one from Johor, considering that they claim that Johor is an important battleground. Lim Guan Eng started his political career in Melaka, where none were voted into the CEC
10. No fresh face in CEC
An analysis of the Malays who had the false hope in their attempt to get themselves voted into DAP CEC.

Hanya beberapa catatan buat sementara.
